Cynthia Ann (Bailey) Carneal, 66

Cynthia A. Carneal, 66, of Allendale, Illinois, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Wabash General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 1, 1957, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of Roland Bailey Jr., and Frances (Whitten) Bailey. She married Roger Carneal on October 16, 2004, and they have celebrated their marriage for nineteen years.

Cindy was a life-long member of Adams Corner United Methodist Church where she was a youth group leader, taught Sunday school, and enjoyed helping during Vacation Bible School week. Cindy collected antiques and would often shop yard sales. She loved to cook big meals, even if it was just a dinner for two. She was proud of the flowers she grew, some of which were inherited from family members. Cindy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. The grandchildren and her dog Sadie held a very special place in her heart. Cindy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Cindy leaves behind her beloved husband, Roger; three sons, Matt Potts, Chris (Samantha) Potts, Phillip Potts; one daughter, Melanie (Amanda) Potts; five grandchildren, Courtney, Trenton, Levi, Stetson, and Madeleine Potts; four brothers, Roland (Nancy) Bailey III, Jim Bailey, David (Dixie) Bailey, Bill Bailey; brother-in-law, Ron Witsman; several loved nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorrie Witsman; daughter-in-law, Michelle Wilson Potts; niece, Ashley Witsman; sisters-in-law, Vickie Bailey, and Bonnie Bailey.

At this time services are pending.
