Paulette Wheatley Deisher, 77, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Wabash General Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born March 22, 1945, in East Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William (Jack) Jackson and Alberta Wilkinson Wheatley. Paulette was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Paulette was a florist, owning and operating Paulette’s Flower Basket for many years. She enjoyed TV and chocolates. Paulette was family oriented, loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was always willing to help her children in any way.

Left to cherish Paulette’s memory are her children, Jacqueline (David) Haase of Mt. Carmel, Stacey (Mark) Goodson of Mt. Carmel, and Tereasa (Matthew) Means of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Cameron Kieffer, Caleb Goodson, Addison Moler, Shelby Moler, Megan, Micheal, Katie and Steven Haase, Abbey Means and Jonah Means; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Sawyer and Blakely Kieffer; and brother, Albert (Kris) Wheatley of Thornton, Colorado.

Preceding Paulette in death were her parents and a granddaughter, Kaycee Kieffer.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Short-Cunningham Funeral Home, 527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial immediately follow in Friendsville Cemetery.
