Steven Williams, 72, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at his residence.  He was born on July 2, 1950, in Tuscola, Illinois, the son of Clifford and Dorothy (Edwards) Williams.  Steven married Patricia Jones-Russell on June 5, 2000, and together they enjoyed twenty-two years of marriage.

Steven had obtained a master’s degree from Oakland City University and worked as a manager for Illinois Farm Bureau for more than twenty years.  He enjoyed teaching and volunteering at Ambassadors Christian Academy.  Steven’s hobbies included photography and working on the computer.  His favorite traveling experiences were taking river cruises.

Steven leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia; children, Jessica (Aaron) Westbrook, Sarah (Mick) Whittler, Laura (Chris) Taylor, and Michael (Aleen) Williams; stepchildren, AJ French, Abby (Chris) Luecke, and Jim (Lauren) Russell; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Victoria Bradley; and one nephew Chris (Marsha) Bradley.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Andrew Williams.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, January 19,2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Richison officiating.  Burial will follow at Cunningham Cemetery in rural Wabash County.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made in Steven’s memory to Ambassadors Christian Academy.  Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
