Etta Katherine Rosignol, 74
Etta Katherine Rosignol, 74, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel. She was born on December 19, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Andrew “Andy” and Hazel Jeanette (Gray) Anthis. She graduated from Bellavista High School in 1965. She returned to Mount Carmel following high school to attend college. Etta married Howard Rosignol on March 23, 1968, in Mount Carmel. Etta and Howard enjoyed getting in the car and going on for a drive around Wabash County. They had celebrated fifty years of marriage before his passing on March 2, 2019.
Etta worked various jobs and kept up with the true joy of her life which was sports. She coached girls’ softball and played ball for seventeen years. Etta also had a passion for bowling. She coached the youth bowling league, while enjoying bowling herself for over sixty years. In August of 1970, she gave her life to Jesus and was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Mount Carmel. She loved her church family and was active teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir and served on several church boards. She was an animal lover especially dogs. Etta spent over forty years cleaning homes in Wabash County and loved working with her clients. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Etta will be remembered by her brothers and sisters in law, Paul Rosignol and wife, Nancy, Bill Rosignol and wife Cindy, and Joyce Swanson; step sister, Sheila Roush; cousins, Kim Minniear and Jennifer Robinson; many loved nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Beverley Eckiss.
Etta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Rosignol; stepfather, John J. Archdeacon.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2022 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2022, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Deron Colgan officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery where Etta will be laid to rest by her beloved husband, Howard.
