Judy K. Delgado, 82

Judy K. Delgado, 82, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 28, 1939, in Mount Carmel, the daughter of Scott and Goldie (Wirth) Reedus.

Judy was raised on the family farm where she learned the value of helping others and working hard. She graduated with an Associate Degree from Evansville Business College and went to work in the bookkeeping and secretarial field. Judy worked many years as a bookkeeper for McCuistin Distributing, and Donahue Oil Company. She also worked for ten years with the Senior Assistance program caring for the elderly. Judy was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed attending the grandkid’s and great-grandkids local games and was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys. Judy was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Wabash Career Women organization, and a lifetime member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church. Judy was very kind and a friend to many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Judy leaves behind one son, Tony Delgado, and wife Jane; grandchildren; Carl Pierce, Corey (Jenny) Pierce, Tim (Cheyenne) Pierce and Devin Pierce; sixteen great-grandchildren, Brylie, Brailyn, Anthony, Courtney, Anastasia, Miranda, Devon, Alivia, Chase, Presleigh, Isaac, Caleb, Sloan, Cambria, Trace and Kole; sister-in-law, Jane Reedus; nieces, Abbey Myers, Allison Snyder, Kelly Berezin; nephew, Dustin Reedus; great nephew, Kale Myers; great nieces, Layla Myers, Samantha Snyder; and special friend, Ada Tolley.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mike, and Richard Reedus; uncles, Bill, and Ned Reedus and one aunt, Kathleen Reedus.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Evangelical United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Evangelical United Methodist Church with name Pastor Sheila Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to the E.U.M. Church.
