Mary A. Robinson, 95
Mary A. Robinson, 95, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Oakview Heights Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by the family she so loved.
Mary was born July 15, 1926, in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of Ozro and Ethel (Ridgley) Hussey. She married John Merle Robinson October 3, 1948, in Orio, Illinois. They were married for sixty-six years until his death in 2015.
She was a member of Wabash Presbyterian Church in Orio, Illinois and was Chairwoman of the Country Store at the Orio Chowder for many years. Mary’s family was always first in her life. She enjoyed cooking meals for them, working in her flower garden and painting pictures for them.
Those left to cherish Mary’s memory include her sister, Wilma Gerrish of Mt. Carmel; brother, Don Hussey of Houston Texas; daughter-in-law Connie Perkins of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren, Robin Marriott of Mt. Carmel, Mary Anne Lowery of Dallas, Texas, Carla Kuhlenschmidt of Princeton, Indiana, Shaina Covey of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Chris Robinson of Jacksonville, Florida, and Kelly Turner of Jefferson City, Missouri; 13 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; sons Dennis Perkins, Rick Robinson, and Johnny Robinson; grandson, Pat Robinson; sisters Wanda Case and Charlotte Barnhart; two brothers, David Abell and Randall Hussey.
Visitation and Funeral Service for Mary will be Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Wabash Presbyterian Church, Orio, Illinois. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the service begins at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Orio Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
