Mary Cavada, 69

Mary Cavada, 69, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the Linda E. White Hospice House, in Evansville, Indiana. She was born on July 24, 1953, in Mount Carmel, the daughter of Ira R. and Helen M. (Anthis) Doades. She was married to James Cavada who preceded her in death.

Mary was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She moved to Bald Knob Arkansas where she greatly enjoyed working as a caretaker in the home health industry. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren which brought her great joy. She loved her family dearly and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Mary leaves behind her son, Lonnie Gene (Barbara) Holloman of Lexington, TN; grandchildren, Paige (Isaiah) Holloman, Lonnie (Matoka) Holloman III, Matilda (Tilon) Holloman, and Harley Holloman, all of Lexington, TN; great-grandchildren, Helena, Lexy, David and Tilon Jr; sisters, Esta Erdman, Deanie (Fred) Sherman of Mount Carmel, Janet Carrie of Vincennes, IN and Joyce Cullison of Jasper, IN; sisters-in-law, Patricia Doades of Decker, IN and Nevalene Doades of Humble TX; several nieces,nephews and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert, Richard, Carl, and Phillip Doades; sisters, Eva Perkins and LaJean Harrell.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Gospel Kingdom Church.

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Gospel Kingdom Church with Minister Jim Gidcumb officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
