Robert Lee “Bob” Scott, 68

Robert Lee “Bob” Scott, 68, of Winslow, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at Wabash General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born July 9, 1954, the son of Billy Joe Scott and Viola Cora (Carnahan) Banet, in Vincennes, Indiana. In 2012, Bob married Mary Lois Scott in Winslow, Indiana. 

Bob was a coal miner for Amax Coal Mine in Keensburg, Illinois, until it closed. He was a member of the United Mineworkers Union. He enjoyed working on cars, tractors, and lawn mowers. Bob’s greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and family. 

Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his wife Mary; children, Samuel Wayne Scott of Winslow, Indiana, Emily Sue (Adam) Shular of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and Nikki Mae Scott (Adrian Hardy) of Muncie, Indiana; siblings, Richard (Robin) Scott of Ft. Branch, Indiana, Cheryl Bolt of South Carolina, and Sterling (Bobbie) Banet of Mattoon, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Cassandra Day. 

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral service.
