Sandra Jane Carr, 67, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at home.  She was born on October 17, 1953, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the daughter of Ben and Jeanette (Wagner) Crafton.  Sandra was raised by her father and stepmother, Theresa Crafton.

Sandra worked as an LPN, caring for others throughout her career.  In her spare time, she enjoyed watching her favorite television shows and she liked to eat at Taco Tierra.  Sandra loved her dog, Meisha, who was a good companion to her.  She loved her family, and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart.  Sandra will be missed by all who knew her.

Sandra leaves behind a son, Jason (Amy) Hagan; daughter Misty (Smitty) Lancaster; grandchildren, Ben G. (Heather) Hallmark, Willie Lee Willingham, Kali Willingham, Trey Lancaster, Connor Thompson; great-grandchildren, Smitlee Willingham, Michael Riggs, Laina - Mae Lancaster, Brynlee Hallmark, Rowdy Finnerty; siblings Larry Tennant and Nancy Plummer.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother; one brother, Lyle Fritz. 

In Keeping with Sandra’s wishes, cremation will take place and no formal services will be held.
