Patricia Bernice (Collins) Dunn, 88, gained her wings and went to Heaven on August 14, 2021, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation, surrounded by the love of several of her family members. She was born October 2, 1932, the daughter of Charley Joseph and Stella (Rallings) Collins in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. On Dec 6, 1949, she married the love of her life, Jackie Joe Dunn, in Mount. Carmel, Illinois. He preceded her in death on Oct 8, 2016, after 66 years of marriage.

Patricia worked as Sunday school secretary at Pentecostal Assembly of God Church for many years, and later worked as a church secretary at the Nazarene Church in Mount Carmel, Illinois. She also worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's business, Dunn Alignment Shop, for several years before they closed for retirement. Patricia enjoyed collecting hummingbird items, her favorite movie was “The Grinch", and she and Jack enjoyed the love of their cat Sally Ann, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Patricia and Jack moved to Florida and enjoyed many years there before moving back to Mount Carmel for their remaining years. They had a special song, "Unchained Melody", and enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley. Patricia also loved researching her family history. She and her sister Delanor made many trips to Nashville and other towns to do research.

Left to honor and cherish Patricia’s memory are her children; Vi-Linda Jo Kitchene, Jackie Ray Dunn and wife, Toni; daughter-in-law, Sandy Paschal Dunn; grandchildren, Teresa McWilliams, Shane Hamm (Erica), Bobby Kitchene (Michael), Megan Rigg (Brad), Travis Dunn, Danielle Reavill (Thomas), Kyleigh Reavill Smith (Ryan), Kendra Van Matre (Sean), Kale Michels (Nichole), Ryan Dunn (Dana), Nick Dunn (Yesenia), Mahaley Perry (Blain), Josh Paschal (Leslie), William Paschal and Jenny Paschal; twenty-four great-grandchildren, Breanna (Aaron), Mason (Mallory), Jonah, Samantha (Jason), Dakota, Jaxyn, Jagger, Jasper, Lucas, Jersey, Jazlyn, Colton, Tali, Preston, Autumn, Sophie, Gavin, Theo, Adler, Brooklyn, London, Frankie, Kalin, and Maggie, and a great- grandson expected to arrive in September to parents, Josh and Leslie Paschal; 4 great-great- grandchildren, Makenzie, Mirabella, Eli and Maci, and a great-great-grandson, Christian, expected to arrive in October to parents, Mason and Mallory.

In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnnie Lee Dunn; siblings, Charles Franklin (Violet), Norma Charlene (Leonard Booth), Clarence Virgil (Faye), Delanor Lee (Gerald Coomer), John Russell (Marisa), along with infant siblings, Frances Josephine, Herman Arthur, and Mary Ann.

There will be no Visitation. A Graveside Service will be planned for a later date at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
