Patricia S. Smith, 67, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on November 20, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Jack and Bessie (Nyiri) Rossiano.  Patricia married Stuart Smith on June 20, 2015 and they enjoyed six years of marriage.

Patricia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who treasured her time with family.  Among her hobbies, Patricia loved watching hummingbirds and cardinal birds.  She also loved her fur babies, especially her cat Lily.  Patricia was a devoted secretary for the IAM Union # 2293 and was proud of her union work.  She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.

Patricia will be remembered by her husband, Stuart Smith of Mount Carmel; four sons, Sam (KJ) Zuber, Josh Smith, Jeremiah Smith and Donavon Smith all of Mount Carmel; three daughters, Amanda Shelby of Albion, IL, Daisha (Matthew) Cardinal of Fort Branch, IN and April Swanson of Mount Carmel; seventeen grandchildren; two brothers, Danny (Wilma) Rossiano and Bobby (Christina) Rossiano both of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Bessie Rossiano of Olney, IL and Gloria Vincent of Chicago, IL; many loved nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randie Steinman; four grandchildren, Austin, Gavin, Brooklyn and Marissa; brother, Jack Rossiano; and brother-in-law, Al Vincent.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Garner officiating.   Burial will follow at Friendsville Cemetery.

Family and friends may gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Social distancing, wearing of face coverings and use of hand sanitizer is recommended.
