Roland Waldo Bingham, 91

Roland Waldo Bingham, 91, of Mount Carmel, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Lodge of the Wabash in Vincennes, Indiana.  He was born on June 6, 1929 in Eagle City, Oklahoma, the son of Roy and Myra (Sparks) Bingham.  Roland married Mary May Stanley and she preceded him in death.  Roland faithfully served his Country in the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War.

Roland loved his family above all and always looked forward to time he spent with them.  Among Roland’s hobbies, he enjoyed woodworking and playing musical instruments.  In his free time, he also loved a good John Wayne movie.  He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Roland will be remembered by his son, Robert Bingham of Mount Carmel; daughters, Juanita Dill of Mount Carmel and Clara Barton of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren, Robert Bingham III, Roland Bingham, Robert Bingham II, Nina Wall, Virgil Clark, Barbara Walker, David Walker and John Lashbrook; ten great grandchildren.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Bingham; sisters, Wilma Miner, LaFawn Hitchcock and Clara Jo Nelson; and brother, Bill Bingham.

In keeping with Roland’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private family Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
