Mary Ann Krug, 79

Mary Ann Krug, 79, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.  She was born on September 22, 1940 in Mount Carmel, the daughter of James and Lola (Hughes) Garrett.  She married James L. Reno and after his passing she married Don Krug who also preceded her in death.

Mary Ann worked many years as a caregiver.  She enjoyed both her work in the nursing home and private care in her client’s homes.  Mary Ann attended the Lighthouse Church in Patton.  She loved her church family and enjoyed attending the various events held there.  She loved her family deeply.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a very special place in her heart.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mary Ann will be remembered by her daughters, Kathy (Harold) Crackel, Sherry (Terry) Stout and Chris Reno; son, Stanley (Lea) Reno; step-son, James Reno; grandchildren, Sara (Josh) Johnson, Crystal (Art) Kimmel, Travis (Bethany) Stout, Jessica (Seth) Hardy and Brittany (Jamie McGee) Strockbine; eleven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harold Ray Dardeen; several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husbands, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Zula Garrett; sisters, Maudie Riggs, Blanche Smith and Barbara Dardeen; brother, James D. Garrett; and great-granddaughter, Kate Elizabeth Hardy. 

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Pentecostal Faith Assembly Church in Patton, Illinois. 

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Church with Pastor Charlie Wall Officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary Ann’s memory to the Lunch Wagon.
