Judith Lynne Beard, 79

Judith Lynne Beard, 79, of Boonville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

She was born on August 19, 1940 in Princeton, Indiana, the daughter of the late William Jennings and Emma (Bishop) Whitehead.


Judy was born and raised in Princeton, Indiana, and was the youngest of 10 children. She met the love of her life, Wil, in 7th grade and they enjoyed a wonderful life together. She was devoted to the Lord since she was saved at age 8 and served countless roles at the church, including Sunday School Teacher and Financial Secretary. Judy enjoyed many years as a childcare provider and cared for the children as if they were her own. Not only was she a caring woman, she was super intelligent, sharp as a tack, and a gifted mathematician. She enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs play and was a fan of Peyton Manning.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wilford Paul Beard; children, Kip Randall (Rebecca) Beard, DeLyn Beard, Tod Alan Beard and Robert Troy (Dante Martinez) Beard; grandchildren, Dakota Doyle Beard, Kyle Lee Alan Beard, Hunter Paul Waters; three great grandchildren; siblings, Jack Whitehead, Bobby Joe Whitehead, Rosella Carr; brother in law, Rodger (Angie) Beard; and many children that she helped raise, tutor and care for over the years as a care giver. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Scott Richard Beard.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Main Street General Baptist Church in Boonville, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at the church on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. following the visitation with Pastors Rodney Sloan, Eric Franz, and John Wongler officiating. Final resting place will be at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to Main Street General Baptist Church or Bread of Life Ministries in Judy’s name.
