Michael W. Schneider, 65, of Allendale, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana with his loving family by his side.  He was born on February 15, 1955 in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the son of Joseph W. and Marjorie I. (Litherland) Schneider.  He married Linda Vines on March 23, 1974 and together they have shared forty-six blessed years. 

Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He was very family oriented and spending time with them gave him great joy.  He loved his family above all.  During his last years, he and Linda went on a daily adventure.  They would get in the car and drive wherever their hearts desired with no real plan in place.  Michael worked at Allendale Gravel Company for twenty-eight years before taking a position at Toyota in 2003.  He worked there for approximately ten years before retiring due to health issues.  Michael had a passion for drums and was very talented.  He played in a handful of bands in his younger years along with a few different worship teams throughout his life.  He was a member of Heartland Worship Center and was a drummer for their worship team until he was no longer able.  His family and friends will cherish his memory forever.

Michael leaves behind his loving wife, Linda; daughter Michelle Banks and husband, Damon; son, Michael Brian Schneider and wife Cassie; ten grandchildren, Chloe and Ellie McIntire, Levi, Sophie, Luke and Annie Banks, Libby, Caleb, Gabby and Joel Schneider.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph E. Schneider; in-laws, William “Bill” and Georgia Vines.

The family will gather for a private visitation at Keepes Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at Allendale Cemetery.
