Jimmy Dale “Jim” Ingram Sr., 76
Jimmy Dale “Jim” Ingram Sr., 76, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana with Eula Ingram by his side. He was born on September 30, 1944 in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Lloyd and Leota (Van Winkle) Ingram.
Jim worked for the city of Mount Carmel for thirty-plus years before his retirement. He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. Jim loved to spend time at his Wabash River camp. In his younger years, he would hunt mussel shells in the river. He enjoyed spending time with his family and often invited his whole family to join him for a hot dog roast. Jim enjoyed fishing and going for rides in the country to look for deer. Jim was of the Pentecostal faith, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Jim leaves behind his three children, Jimmy Ingram Jr. and wife Rachael, Janie Parkhurst and husband Jamie and Timothy Ingram and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Kiesha Ingram, Shantel Reed, Zachary (Kaitlyn) Parkhurst, Tyler Parkhurst, Bethany (Tanner) Smith, Steven (Kayla) Hyatt, James Timothy “J.T.” Ingram, Hunter Dale Ingram, Stacie May Ingram; seven great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Debbie) Ingram; sisters, Sandy (Steve) Brown, Sue Taylor; special brother-in-law, Ralph (Kathy) Whitehouse; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kevin Ingram; sisters, Pat LaConto and infant Mary Elisibeth Ingram.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Lick Prairie Cemetery in rural Wabash County, Illinois. Social distancing practices will be in place. Jim’s life will be honored with Full Military Honors.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to the Epilepsy Foundation or the Wabash County Animal Shelter Buddies and will be accepted at the Graveside Service or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
