James "Jimmy" Boyd Perkins II, 44

James "Jimmy" Boyd Perkins II, 44, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital.

Jimmy was born in Mt. Carmel, IL on November 7, 1975 to James and Linda Perkins. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1993 where he lettered all 4 years in wrestling. After high school he worked as a chef at Cork and Cleaver, Elliott's Steak House and the Red Geranium and was the lead singer for the band "Ted's Twisted Penny and also Needlewerk." Jimmy was gifted academically and graduated from Ivy Tech, with three degrees; mechanical, drafting and electrical engineering degrees. Jimmy's career was spent as a draftsman for Skanska, and most recently, America's Engineering. His pride and joy were his children and he cherished his time with them.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Torrie (Holder) Perkins; daughter, Lily Anne Rayne Perkins; son, James Boyd "T.J." Perkins III all of Evansville, IN; his parents, Linda (Neikirk) and James Boyd Perkins of Mt. Carmel, IL; sisters, Mickie (Dillard) Clem (Tony) of Owensville, IN, Jennifer (Perkins) Frank (Tony) of Louisville, KY; brother, Scott Dillard (Megan) of Mt. Carmel, IL; mother-in-law, Debbie Holder (Tim Hunter) of Evansville, IN; father-in-law, Roger Holder of Lynnville, IN; nieces and nephews, Joshua Williams, Kyle Williams, Tiffani Clem, Troycer Dillard, Triston Dillard, Mercedes Dillard, Madix Dillard, Cassandra Hayes, Don William Hayes III; maternal nieces and nephews, Alicia, Ryan, Sanita, Everett "Squishy", and Charlotte; brother-in-law, Justin Holder (Samantha); and a sister-in-law, Becky Alvey.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Perry Case officiating.

Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until service time on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Browning Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made at the Evansville Federal Teachers Credit Union on behalf of Jimmy's children.
