Jackie (Jack) Lee Bosaw, 92

Jackie (Jack) Lee Bosaw, 92, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away March 8th, 2019, in Webster Groves, Missouri.

Jack was born May 31, 1929, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Goldie Bosaw and Frances (Stull) Bosaw.   He was a 1944 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.   He married Thelma Xanders on December 11, 1949.

Jack was a licensed Professional Engineer and a part owner of Lamac Engineering, in Mt. Carmel, for many years, before becoming the White County Commissioner of Highways in Carmi, until he retired. Jack was

active in many civic organizations including the Elks and American Legion. Jack served our country in the Naval Air Corp from 1944 until 1946. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching golf, and visits from his family.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife Thelma, son Kim Bosaw, granddaughter Rachel Bosaw, sister Sara Seaton, and brother Earl Bosaw.

He is survived by sons Scott Bosaw and wife Georgene of St.

Louis, Missouri, Jon Bosaw and wife Amanda of Lynnwood, Washington, Eric Bosaw and wife Gwen of Troy, Illinois; six grandchildren, Megan Bosaw, Trevor Bosaw, Jeff Bosaw, Evan Bosaw, Christian Bosaw,

Olivia Bosaw; and, one great-grandchild Kylie Bosaw.

Jack was interred in the mausoleum at Highland Memorial Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 8th and Market Streets, Mt. Carmel, Illinois, on Sunday, August 18th from 1:00 until 3:00 PM. All who knew him or his family are invited to attend.
