Brenda Sue Morehead, 66

Brenda Sue Morehead, 66, of Mount Carmel, Illinois went home to be with the Lord following a tragic accident on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She was born on September 10, 1952 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, the daughter of Jack and Betty (Roberts) Krinke. Brenda married Dan Morehead on October 14, 2006 at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Mount Carmel.

Brenda will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her children, Mat and Jill, remember their mother as being the best mom and always making sure they had everything they needed. Brenda was on fire for the Lord and was a fierce prayer warrior. She had a heart for serving others through mission work. The recent mission trip to Bosnia, strengthened her passion for helping others. Brenda loved her golden retriever dog, Max, who also lost his life in the tragic accident.

Brenda worked as the community service director for Wabash County and also served as an Executive Director of Special Advocacy for Judge Sawyer. She was a member of First Baptist Church and her church family was very dear to her. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Brenda will be remembered by her husband, Dan Morehead; son, Mat (Nikki) Marchbank of Newnan, GA; daughter, Jill (Jason) Henley of Willow Springs, MO; step children, Derrek, Dustin and Daniel Morehead, and Danelle Just; grandchildren, Ben Marchbank, Cole Henley, Tryton Henley, Ansley Johnson and Ethan Marchbank; step grandchildren, Michael, Merada, Maria, Makenzie and Mason Morehead, Kalyn and Walker Just; brothers, Doug (Laura) Krinke of Cartersville, GA and Joe (Rhonda) Krinke of Cave Springs, GA; sister, Pam (Phil) Cleaver of Pleasant Grove, OH; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and step father, Andy Oschack.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, 130 West 6th Street, Mount Carmel, IL at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Freels officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Church.

Memorial contributions may be made in Brenda’s memory to the First Baptist Church Mission Fund. Envelopes will be at the Church or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
