Dorothy Renee “Dottie” Lane, 49, of Hazelton, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her residence. She was born July 30, 1968 in Mount Carmel, Illinois the daughter of Jack Boyd and Patricia (Seals) Boyd.

Dottie loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing and walks in the woods to hunt for mushrooms. She liked listening to country music. During her younger years she lived in Allendale, Illinois and attended school there. Dottie was a homemaker and loved her family deeply. Her grandchildren brought great joy to her heart. She will be deeply missed.

Dottie will be remembered by her daughters, Tara Osmon (Victor) Provines of Sumner, Illinois, Jackie Campbell of Princeton, Indiana; six grandchildren, Halli & Hanna Fair, Trenton & Maddi Campbell, Arabella & Tristian Lewis; sisters, Tricia Boyd, Kimberly Lafferty; brother, Brian Boyd; several nieces and nephews and special friend Kerby Anderson.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dustin Osmon; brothers, Ronald “Bub” Boyd and Kevin Boyd.

Family and friends may gather for a Memorial Visitation from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dottie’s memory directly to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry St., Mt. Carmel, IL 62863 to help the family offset expenses. Envelopes will be available at the Visitation.
