Lela “Pete” Harms, 75

Lela “Pete” Harms, 75, of Mount Carmel, IL passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at her residence.  She was born January 5, 1943 the daughter of Curtis and Barbara Wilson. 

Pete was employed many years as a clerk at The Wagon Wheel Package Store along with local social establishments, Tommy’s and The Pump Room.  She also worked as a taxi driver and was well known as being very nice to her customers and friends.  Pete loved the outdoors and spending time with her family.  The highlight of her life was her great-grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Pete will be remembered by her sons; Don (Shannon) Harms of Mount Carmel, IL, William Wilson of Grafton, OH; grandchildren, Jodi Simpson, Heather Bailey, Sarah Wilson, Randy Wilson; thirteen great-grandchildren, Sky, Dominick, Brianna, Conner, Brittany, Zac, Aviana, Andre, Halley, Sarah, Lela, Ava and Stella; brother, Bill Wilson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pete was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mick Wilson, Marlene Combs; brothers, Junior and Donnie Wilson. 

Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Highland Memorial Cemetery with Brother Bill Reed officiating. 

Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
