Marilyn S. Moore, 71

Marilyn S. Moore, 71, of Mount Carmel, Illinois passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton Indiana surrounded by the love of her family. She was born September 5, 1947 in Mount Carmel, Illinois the daughter of Ralph L. and Geneva I. (Smith) Shain. She married Stephen Moore in October of 1968 and he preceded her in death.

Marilyn was employed at Wabash General Hospital as a medical technologist in the laboratory department and was Laboratory Supervisor at Evansville Internal Medicine Associates. She was a member of the American Association of Bio Analysts where she was elected to the Board of Directors and served as Vice President and President on the National Level. Marilyn was also a member of the American Board of Registry for AAB. In her spare time Marilyn enjoyed Camping and Fishing. Marilyn was a member of the Free Methodist Church. She was loved by many nd will be missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn will be fondly remembered by her brothers, John (Connie) Shain and Jim (Laura) Shain; sisters, Barbara (Timothy) Eyer, Carolyn Spray, Nancy Rayborn, Patricia (Faye) Griffith, Wanda Kay Neff, and Vesta Weir; many loved nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Moore; brother, Lyman Shain; and sister, Catherine Kolb.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with name Pastor Deron Colgan and Pastor David Shain officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn’s memory to Free Methodist Church or Hope Pregnancy Center. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
