Leland Stoltz, 90

Leland Stoltz, 90, of Mount Carmel, Illinois passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born May 14, 1927 in Wabash County, Illinois the son of Adam and Tressie (Doty) Stoltz.  On December 5, 1951 Leland married Betty Ann (Deisher) Stoltz and she preceded him in death.

Leland proudly served his country in the United States Army.  During his military service he was a truck driver and carried that career on into his civilian life.  He greatly enjoyed driving his truck as he was employed by the DeKalb Company for 45 plus years.  Leland also enjoyed farming.  He developed a love for antique tractors and farm equipment and enjoyed attending auctions.  Leland was a member of the Church of Christ.  He will be dearly missed.

Leland will be remembered by his son, David (Susan) Stoltz of Mount Carmel; two daughters, Teresa (Nathan) Wagner of Carlisle, AR and Erma Stoltz of Olney, IL; grandchildren, Rachel (David) Stafford, Steven (Kristin) Wagner, Matthew (Anna) Wagner, Mindy (Chris) Parker, Amanda (Scott) Snow, Shawn Summers, Kristen (Dennis) Pasche, Adam Stoltz, Eric (Tori) Stoltz, Sara (Eric) Scherer, Troy Stoltz; great grandchildren, Amelia Snow, Ezra Stafford, Scarlet Scherer, Camden Scherer; one sister, Patsy (Larry) Stivers of Olney, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Leland was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Betty Stoltz; sisters, Wanda Root, Bernell Seals and one infant brother. 

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Lick Prairie Cemetery in Wabash County Illinois with Minister Larry Stivers officiating.  There is no public visitation prior to the service, please meet at the cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Leland’s memory to Lick Prairie Christian Church, 17485 E 400 Rd. Mt. Carmel, IL  62863.  Envelopes will be at the Graveside or may be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 N Cherry St., Mt. Carmel, IL  62863.
