Ronald Mark Rodgers

Ronald Mark Rodgers, age 60, of Carterville, IL, passed away in his home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 9:53 a.m.

Ron “Mark” was born on November 20, 1956 in Mt. Carmel, IL, the son to Ronald and Barbara (Tisdale) Rodgers. Ron “Mark” was a 1975 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, and a graduate of Southern Illinois University. He married Debra Hawkins and was a member of the United Methodist Church Carbondale, IL. He worked for the Environmental Protection Agency in Marion, IL and loved attending concerts, his dogs, and most of all his family.

Survivors include his parents Ronald and Barbara Rodgers of Mt. Carmel IL, twin daughters, Lindsey Rodgers of Marion, IL, Lauren Wagehoft (Kyle) of Scottsdale, AZ; a son, Garrett Rodgers; two sisters Paula Murphy (Jay) of Santa Claus, IN, Jessica Hinderliter (Dan) of Allendale, IL, a brother David “Duke” Rodgers of Mt. Carmel, IL, a niece and three nephews, and special friends Rick and Melinda Krider of Tarpon Springs, FL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie on August 31, 2012.

Friends may call at the Carterville Civic Center, Carterville, IL on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Burial of his cremains will be held at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Friends and Family are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the family for Garrett’s college fund.
