New Mt. Carmel garbage commissioner Chandler Madden wants to make sure city residents are aware of a recycling program available for a variety of items. At last night’s city council meeting, Madden said residents can drop off a variety of recyclables at the city’s brush harbor on Golden Aces Way….

The brush harbor is open on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Mayor Joe Judge said the city had looked into a curbside recycling 5 years ago but the program was cost prohibitive running as much as an additional $7 per customer each month.
