Alexa Price is the lone contestant in the 2019 Wabash County Fair Queen Contest.
My name is Alexa Price and I am 17 years old. I am entering my senior year at Mount Carmel High School and so excited to create new memories. This is my first year as a 4-H member, however, I have participated in the Wabash County Junior Fair most of my childhood. I’m a member of the Allendale Twisters, where I serve as the Vice President of our club. My 4-H projects are video editing, dog care, and horses I’ve been riding horses since I was 3 years old and my favorite events are barrels and poles. We often travel to horse shows around the tri-state area, but my favorite has always been the Wabash County Junior Fair/4-H Horse Show. Volleyball is another hobby of mine. I played for 6 years when I lived in Missouri and now I enjoy assistant coaching with Youth In Action and The Allendale Yellow Jackets. I am currently employed with Mount Carmel City Pool, where I work concessions. I also intern at Silvernale Photography, where I am learning how to do photo editing and help manage social media. I regularly attend Parkview Christian Church and I am an active in the High School Youth Group. My current goals are to have a successful fair week, to attend the 2019 Illinois State Horse show, and have an amazing senior year with many new experiences. In the future, I plan to attend Wabash Valley College and then transfer to a four year school to obtain my bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. I also hope to travel as much as possible and have a family of my own. I am the daughter of Leeana Rhodes from Campbell, MO and Jared and Jodi Price from Mount Carmel I have three sisters, Caroline (12), Reese (9), and Wylie Rose (3). I decided to participate in the Wabash County Queen contest because I would like to meet new people, become more involved in the community, and experience new things. I would like to take this time to thank my wonderful sponsor Allie Marie Silvernale of Silvernale Photography. Your support and encouragement means the world to me. Thank you.
