Princeton Ramp Closure Delayed
GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a delay for a ramp closure at the interchange of U.S. 41 and State Road 64 in Princeton.
Beginning on or around Monday July, 22, Contractors will begin the second ramp closure in the project to patch all of the ramps on the interchange. The second ramp closure would be from westbound S.R. 64 to northbound U.S. 41.
This work was originally scheduled to begin on July 15, however concerns about the effect of Tropical Storm Barry in the Gulf of Mexico and how the weather system will move through the Hoosier State led contractors to push the work back a week.
Ramps will be done consecutively and work is expected to last for about a week on each one. During the closures, Motorists can use the remaining open ramps to maneuver to their destination.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
